FCL (Full Container Load), or full container: the client's goods are transported in a filled and sealed container; LCL (Less than Container Load) or grouped shipment: the client' goods are not numerous enough to fill a container, the goods of several clients are put into one container.
Two popular methods of transportation are LTL shipping (less than truckload) and FTL (full truckload)
Customs clearance is the act of taking goods through the customs authority to facilitate the movement of cargo into a country (import) and outside the country (export).
No original bills of lading are issued when a sea waybill is used. The carrier's responsibility is to deliver the cargo to the named receiver. Sometimes referred to as “consignment notes” and do not act as a title document; the sea waybill can only be issued with the shipper's written consent.
